My experience of my first b-eat training day!

I arrived at the MIC for the b-eat young ambassador training day on the 23rd October.  Me and my mum had  used b-eat for support, a lot when I was ill, but this was to be the first time I  had ever done anything from the other side, something which filled me with such apprehension, nerves, but mostly- excitement.
I walked in and was immediately greeted by a whole room of other beaming young people, who all welcomed me in with open arms, what astonished me most was how friendly they all were, there was such a phenomenal atmosphere!  Some of the b-eat staff then came over, and they too were extremely welcoming, and generally lovely!
We were then handed our information packs, by the great b-eat staff, and the training day began – we discussed the ambassador code, how to bring out the best in people, how to deliver a powerful presentation or workshop, how we could help b-eat as young ambassadors, and shared some invaluable tips on how to handle the media!
It was, to sum up, a truly wonderful day, and one of the best things I’ve ever done, so I would really recommend it to anyone wanting to help out, get involved, or like most of us, trying to make something positive out of such an unfortunate experience!
Thanks you very much b-eat,
Lucie x
